Network Activities

Activities

The activities in the network are centered around creating joint initiatives in four areas:

1. Optimal use of existing population and health registry data in lifespan research on brain and cognition.

2. Linking birth registry health data to advanced brain imaging and cognitive test results.

3. Digitalizing existing birth registry data, and extending registries over time and in scope.

4. Establishment of comparative Norwegian and Nordic lifespan research on brain and cognition.

Planned meetings

Semi-annual network meetings in Norway

There will be physical meetings in the Norwegian part of the network every six months, alternating between University of Oslo (UiO), Oslo University Hospital (OUS) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Researchers in early career stages and professionals from relevant public institutions will be invited to these meetings to prepare the ground for digitization of Norwegian birth registry data.

Annual Norwegian and Nordic network meetings

There will be one major network event in the upcoming two years: in 2026 at UiO and in 2027 at NTNU. Researchers and policy-makers from the Nordic region and the UK will be invited to participate at these events. The meetings will focus on coordinating Nordic research on the network's topics, and planning for joint international research applications.
